Refund policy
At Smartlink Automation, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with your purchase. Our return policy offers a 15-day window for returns, providing you ample time to evaluate your purchase. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges beyond this period. This policy is designed to promote fairness and satisfaction in your shopping experience with us.
Eligibility for Returns
Returns are only accepted for products that are faulty, damaged, or defective upon delivery. We do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect selection, incompatibility, or if you simply decide not to use the product.
Before a return is approved, customers may be required to undertake basic troubleshooting steps and provide photos or videos demonstrating the fault.
To be eligible for a return:
- The product must not have been permanently installed, wired, or modified.
- The product may only be tested to reasonably determine if a fault exists.
- The product must be returned with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation where possible.
- Proof of purchase must be provided.
Customers must contact us within 15 days of receiving the product to report a fault. All returns require prior authorisation from Smartlink Automation. Items returned without approval may be refused.
If the product is confirmed to be faulty, we will provide a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Products that are found not to be faulty may be returned to the customer at their expense.
Return Process
To complete your return, a receipt or proof of purchase is required. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. Instead, contact us to discuss options.
Refunds
Upon receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will notify you via email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within a few days.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund, please follow these steps:
1. Recheck your bank account.
2. Contact your credit card company, as processing times may vary.
3. Contact your bank for further information.
If you still have not received your refund after following these steps, please contact us at sales@smartlinkautomation.com.
Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please email us at accounts@smartlinkautomation.com.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of the return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the gift was not marked at the time of purchase, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.
Shipping
You will be responsible for covering the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
For items over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item without these measures.
